Corporate Partnerships
Building Resilient Communities Together
EcoWB is dedicated to protecting the planet’s ecosystems by empowering environmentally vulnerable communities to problem-solve, innovate, and protect and use their natural resources wisely. We want to work with corporate partners who are as dedicated to environmental stewardship and community well-being as we are.
By joining forces with philanthropically minded corporate partners, we can amplify our efforts and make a lasting, positive impact. EcoWB Corporate Partnerships help us carry out our mission and broaden our reach, while our Corporate Partners can showcase their commitment to operating ethically and responsibly, and the positive impact their actions have on society and the environment.
If your organization shares EcoWB’s core values and is committed to making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you. We are eager to explore collaborative opportunities that leverage our respective strengths and drive measurable impact. Whether through financial support, volunteer engagement, or other meaningful collaborations, corporate partners provide transformative value to EcoWB's mission. Please call us to discuss how EcoWB can help you fulfil your ESG, CSR, sustainability, and employee engagement goals.
Partnering for positive change
Our most successful partnerships span a multi-year life cycle and make best use of each organization’s respective skills and resources to achieve shared project goals.
Here are some ways your organization can partner with EcoWB:
Donate
Contribute directly to EcoWB’s mission by financially supporting us to connect more volunteers with environmentally vulnerable communities. Unrestricted financial gifts offer us the greatest flexibility, but contributions can take various forms and we are always looking for new and productive ways to work together.
Collaborate
EcoWB has built a successful model of partnering with organizations that possess the human resources we seek to enhance the capabilities of our cadre of volunteers. Collaborate with us to directly contribute to solving environmental challenges worldwide and give your employees volunteering experiences that are personally rewarding and positively impact communities and ecosystems worldwide
Amplify
Help us increase EcoWB’s visibility and raise awareness of the urgent need to find sustainable solutions to ecological challenges globally by championing our work through your brand media team, social media, and event integration.
Corporate Partner Spotlight

Arup
Arup, the global sustainable development consultancy, has been an extraordinary partner to EcoWB and our local partners, Community Based Biosynergy Management (CBBM) in Somié, Cameroon. Their staff are contributing highly skilled pro bono geospatial support – a skillset that the community could never access on its own – to help protect a forest that is home to the critically endangered Nigeria–Cameroon chimpanzee.
For the people of Somié, this forest is more than habitat; it is a source of identity, food, culture, and stability. But growing pressures from agricultural expansion and land-use change have made it increasingly vulnerable. To secure long-term protection, the community must demonstrate clear evidence of the forest’s boundaries, condition, and ecological value – and that requires reliable, defensible data.
Arup’s team stepped in to help build exactly that foundation by:
- Introducing a simple digital data-collection tool (ESRI’s Survey123 – a mobile app that allows field teams to record wildlife sightings, land use, and GPS-accurate information) to replace paper notebooks and improve accuracy in the field.
- Creating forest canopy maps that show how the forest is changing and why it is vital to secure legal protection and to plan future restoration.
- Providing expert guidance on survey design, workflows, and data management, ensuring that information collected by community teams can be confidently used in discussions with the Cameroonian government.
Arup’s support is helping the people of Somié demonstrate, with clarity and evidence, why their forest deserves protection – and giving them the technical tools to advocate for it themselves.
We are deeply grateful for Arup’s generosity, professionalism, and commitment to community-led conservation. Their partnership is already making a lasting difference.

Microsoft
Earlier this year, Microsoft’s Industry Solutions Delivery team chose to support EcoWB as part of Microsoft’s Give program, contributing their time and expertise through micro-volunteering tasks during their annual Month of Giving. Their support touched several areas of our work — from improving fundraising processes and strengthening project workflows to helping us streamline internal tools and Microsoft Teams products that our volunteers depend on every day.
In total, Microsoft employees contributed more than 30 hours of highly skilled volunteer support, helping us resolve several issues that had been slowing down our small organization. Their efforts didn’t stop there: through Microsoft’s employee volunteer match, they also raised more than $700 to further strengthen EcoWB’s work with communities around the world.
This collaboration embodies the spirit of Microsoft’s Give program and shows how skilled micro-volunteering can empower small nonprofits and help ensure that communities facing environmental challenges receive the support they need.
POWER Engineers
For the past three years, EcoWB and POWER Engineers have collaborated on the rehabilitation of a reservoir in Nairobi, Kenya—a project focused on waste management, water quality restoration, and strengthening community resilience in Kibera, one of the country’s largest informal settlements.
This collaboration began in 2022, when POWER Engineers partnered with EcoWB to develop sustainable engineering solutions to tackle the growing waste crisis in the reservoir and its tributary streams. Working alongside our local partner, Empower the Community (ETCO), POWER Engineers launched an Innovation Challenge to design trash racks to be installed at key locations along the Ngong River tributaries, intercepting debris before it entered the reservoir.
Last summer, a team from POWER Engineers traveled to Nairobi to assess conditions, gather data, and refine the approach. After meeting with local government leaders, NGOs, and environmental experts, the team expanded its vision beyond debris interception to include floodplain restoration, stormwater management, and long-term waste solutions. The visit culminated in a community cleanup event, where EcoWB volunteers, POWER Engineers, and local residents removed two tons of waste from a key tributary—demonstrating the power of hands-on, collaborative action.
Beyond fieldwork, POWER Engineers has played a pivotal role in advancing this project through financial support and pro bono technical expertise, allowing their engineers and environmental specialists to continue providing guidance as the project moves into planning and implementation.
This partnership is a shining example of corporate responsibility in action, combining engineering expertise, environmental restoration, and community leadership to create lasting, real-world impact.

ERM – Environmental Resources Management
ERM, the world's largest sustainability consultancy firm, joined forces with EcoWB to restore mangrove systems in Marismas Nacionales (National Swamp), the largest mangrove forest system on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Mangrove forests are one of the world’s most productive ecosystems, absorbing up to four times more carbon dioxide than upland terrestrial forests. Coastal development, climate change, pollution and agriculture are contributing to a loss of mangrove forests at around four times the rate of overall global deforestation.
In addition to providing vital project funding, ERM has entered into a multi-year partnership with EcoWB to develop a comprehensive strategy for mangrove conservation. Leveraging their expertise in the field, ERM consultants are providing pro bono assistance including mapping park features, offering guidance on navigating carbon credit markets, and conducting a social assessment to inform the conservation strategy.
ERM's collaboration with EcoWB underscores their dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship. By investing both financial resources and human capital, ERM has demonstrated its commitment to upholding environmental values and effecting meaningful, impactful, and sustainable change.

We are always looking for innovative approaches to forge mutually rewarding partnerships with for-profit entities. If you are interested in supporting our initiatives or discussing how your organization can demonstrate its dedication to environmental sustainability, please email us.
